Northwoods Shore Fishing

  Coolidge Springs Trout Ranch Handicap access is available at Coolidge Springs Trout Ranch
  Nobody will be skunked and everyone can enjoy the excitement of catching Brook and Rainbow Trout in the ponds. Licenses are not required, there is no limit and trout can be fished for May through October. There is a fish cleaning station and picnic area on site. Bait and poles are available. Handicap accessible.
  Location: W6981 Trout Pond Road, Fifield.

  DeMars Bridge on Co. Hwy B
  The Flambeau River has an excellent fishery, with everything from walleye and bass to musky and pike.
  Location: Bridge just west of Park Falls over the Flambeau River. From Fifield, go west on Highway 70 about three miles, then north two miles on Highway B. From Park Falls, take Highway E west one mile to Highway B and then south two miles.

  Elk Lake Park Handicap access is available at Elk Lake Park
  Offers a handicap accessible fishing pier, plus other shorefishing spots along a nice shoreline trail. New boat landing and playground pavilion area.
  Location: City park in Phillips on Elk Lake, right along Highway 13, just north of the downtown area.

  Foulds Springs
  Secluded trout ponds in the heart of the Chequamegon Nicolet National Forest
  Location: South of Round Lake/Pike Lake area in northeast Price County. From Highway 70, go south on Forest Rd. 132 for 6 miles. A small two-track heads off to the right. Follow this for three miles to parking area.

  Highway 13 Wayside on South Fork Flambeau River
  Parking, picnic area, veterans memorial, boat launch and restrooms.
  Location: Just two miles south of Fifield on Highway 13

  Hines Park Handicap access is available at Hines Park
  Offers great floating handicap accessible fishing pier plus other shore fishing spots, a nice park and playground, boat landing and riverwalk trail.
  Location: City park in Park Falls on the Upper Park Falls Flowage. Take Highway 182 west one mile turn left on Saunders Avenue. Look for signs.

  Patterson Lake
  Offers shore fishing along much of the lakeshore near a township boat landing and parking area. Great little stocked trout lake.
  Location: On Highway 182, 13 miles East of Park Falls

  Prentice Park
  All shore fishing along a village picnic area and park.
  Location: City park in Prentice on the Jump River, on Railroad Ave. north of downtown.

  Round Lake Logging Dam
  A great place for shore fishing with a chance to view a restored 1800s wooden logging dam. Restrooms.
  Location: From Fifield, head east on Highway 70 for about 16 miles to Forest Road 144, then north to parking area. Parking fee required.

  Solberg Lake County Park
  Shore fishing, fishing pier, boat dock, boat landing, sandy beach, picnic area, shelter, playground, sand volleyball, nature and hiking trail and campsites.
  Location: County park outside Phillips. From downtown, take County Highway H to East Solberg Lake Rd. Follow road around lake to park entrance.
